Carson Root (Senior Minister)

I was born in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and raised on the family farm near West Salem, Illinois. After graduating high school, I attended Olney Central College (welding) while working at Champion Laboratories. From 1995-1999 I majored in preaching at Johnson University in Knoxville. It was at Johnson where I met and married my wife Cing (from Burma). After graduation we ministered at Clay City Christian (7 yrs.), Lancaster Church of Christ (7yrs.-- I obtained my Masters Degree in Organized Leadership while at Lancaster), Buck Creek Christian in Indy (4+ years).

Cing and I have 3 children: Zachary (15), Gracie (14), and Macy (10). My hobbies include deer hunting, camping, basketball, and snooker. My favorite Scripture is Romans 8:1.
